Purpose and scope

50khoka backups is an owner-operated backup and recovery utility for private use. This notice covers that utility and its information pages, not a public financial service or the full set of tools the household may use separately.

Google data and permissions

The utility requests Google’s per-file Drive permission, drive.file, rather than permission to browse all files in the account. It uses its application-created backup folder and files. The configured folder narrows the utility’s operations; the OAuth permission determines the access Google grants.

It reads the connected account’s identity to confirm the intended owner and reads backup-file metadata, including identifiers, names, sizes and sharing permissions, to check the destination and verify transfers. It uploads encrypted backup files and downloads them for recovery checks. It does not request Gmail, contacts, calendar or bank access.

Google sign-in and consent happen through Google. The utility does not ask for the Google account password. Connection credentials are stored in protected local configuration, not in these information pages.

Storage and use

Selected local records are encrypted before the utility sends them to Google Drive. The backup password is held separately from the encrypted repository. Google still processes account and file metadata, transfer timing and network information needed to operate Drive; encrypting backup contents does not conceal every aspect of storage activity.

Local originals, temporary recovery copies and configuration have separate security requirements. An encrypted cloud backup does not by itself encrypt the source computer or protect it from compromise.

The utility uses Google data only to establish the intended connection, transfer backups and verify or restore them. It does not sell that data, use it for advertising or credit scoring, or send it to general-purpose AI models for training or analysis. Separately authorised use of an AI assistant on selected local records is a distinct workflow and is not authorised merely by connecting this backup utility.

Backup files are intended to remain unshared in the owner’s Drive. Google provides storage under its own terms and privacy policy. This information site has no access to backup contents, Google credentials or recovery passwords.

Retention, disconnection and deletion

At this setup stage, only synthetic recovery tests have been uploaded. No automated household-backup schedule or retention-deletion policy is enabled. Any change to these practices requires an updated notice and setup review.

The owner can revoke the utility’s connection through Google Account settings. Revocation stops future authorised access but does not delete existing Drive backups or local copies. Deleting backups is a separate decision that may permanently remove recovery options. Copies are retained until the owner explicitly decides otherwise; no deletion schedule is promised here.
